"The concept behind these paintings is centered around a lightning storm that explodes over the city and ignites the atmosphere so that souls roam amongst the living. The idea came to me one of those spots in-between dreams.
I mainly did images beyond the Ghoststorm (as I have called it) that are focused on particular “spirits”. My newest obsession is trying for abstract representation of a soul. In an empathetic sense, I can attempt to explore an individual past all of their superficial means — by mapping symbols to their experiences and inner scope."
Judging by the reclined position and the intent gaze directed at the skull (reminiscent of Hamlet, or human philosophy in my eyes), this particular soul is self-obsessed with his own thoughts, beliefs, and philosophy?
